Cal Ripken Jr. Typed Letter Signed with Fantastic Baseball Content Baltimore Orioles HOF PSA/DNA LOA

Cal Ripken Jr. nicknamed “The Iron Man,” is considered the greatest shortstop to ever grace the baseball diamond.  In his 21 Major League seasons; spent entirely with the Baltimore Orioles organization he achieved accolades that almost no professional ballplayer can touch.

On top of his 2632 consecutive games, surpassing Lou Gehrig’s streak of 2130; he compiled 3,184 hits, 431 home runs, and 1,695 runs batted in during his career, and he won two Gold Glove Awards for his defense. He was a 19-time All-Star and was twice named American League (AL) Most Valuable Player (MVP). He was a first ballot Hall of Fame in 2007.

Offered is a 2 page typed letter on Ripken Baseball letterhead to former teammate, Jeff Conine in 2005. Incredible baseball content trying to convince Conine (who was still an active player) to invest in Minor League Baseball team ownership.  He tells Jeff to give him or Bill (his brother Billy Ripken who was on the infamous “F face” baseball card).

Great paragraph where Ripken writes, “Let’s face it we’ve all been very fortunate to play baseball for a living.  There will come a day when that ends, unless of course you are Julio Franco.”

(note: Franco entered professional baseball in 1978 and ended his Major League in 2007 and then played sporadically for some independent teams since).

Ripken signed his name in full and then wrote a short little postscript.

A few Ripken love letters from his days in the minors (signed first name only) have surfaced over the years, but we’ve never seen another letter like this.  Ripken signed letters are extremely RARE!!!!
