Gene Englund Osh Kosh All-Stars Basketball Star signed AUTO document 3x5 index card

Gene Englund was a six five forward who played his college ball at the University of Wisconsin. Although he played professionally, Englund is best remembered for being a star college basketball player for Wisconsin, where as a senior in 1940–41 he led the Badgers to win the NCAA National Championship He would finish 3rd all -in scoring in the NBL. He spent his early professional career with the Oshkosh All-Stars and Brooklyn Indians. England would play one season in the NBA, appearing in 46 games during the league’s inaugural season for both the Boston Celtics and Tri-Cities Blackhawks, but by the time the NBA formed Englund’s career was well over with. He died in 1995 and is considered one of the early pioneers of professional basketball.
