Hack Wilson 1933 Draper-Maynard Baseball Glove Signed AUTO Contract PSA/DNA LOA
Hack Wilson (D. 1948) was one of the top hitters of his era. While many of the top slugging records have been shattered in recent years, Wilson's incredible accomplishment of 190 RBI in 1930 continues to stand the test of time. He was elected to the Baseball HOF in 1979.
Offered is this one page, 8.25 x 11, April 19, 1933 contract (he was with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1933). This was an agreement between the Draper-Maynard Company of Plymouth, New Hampshire and Hack Wilson, in part: "1. The Draper-Maynard Co. agrees to furnish Lewis 'Hack' Wilson baseball gloves or mitts made according to his specifications, to be billed at $1.00. 2. Lewis 'Hack' Wilson agrees to allow the Draper-Maynard Co. the exclusive use of his name on gloves, mitts or other advertising material in connection therewith." Signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by Wilson. In fine condition, with two punch holes to upper border.
