The 1961 trial of Adolf Eichmann was a landmark event in the history of Holocaust justice. The trial began on April 11, 1961, in Jerusalem and was the first televised trial in history, bringing the horrors of the Holocaust to a global audience.

- Defense: Eichmann's defense, led by attorney Robert Servatius, centered around the argument that he was merely following orders and was a small cog in the vast Nazi machinery. Eichmann portrayed himself as a bureaucrat who had no personal animosity towards Jews.
- Testimonies: The trial featured the testimonies of many Holocaust survivors, who recounted their harrowing experiences. These testimonies played a crucial role in painting a vivid picture of the atrocities committed and Eichmann's involvement.
- Verdict and Sentence: On December 15, 1961, Eichmann was found guilty on most counts. He was sentenced to death, and his appeal was rejected. Eichmann was hanged on June 1, 1962, marking the only civil execution ever carried out in Israel.
