Joe Guyon Signed AUTO photo Handbill Flyer Pro Football HOF D.1971 BAS LOA

Joe Guyon (D. 1971) was Thorpe's teammate at Carlisle and an All-American tackle at Georgia Tech in 1918. He was a triple-threat halfback in pros, an extremely fierce competitor, and played with Thorpe on four NFL teams. His TD pass gave the Giants the win over the Bears for 1927 NFL title. A professional baseball injury ended his gridiron career in 1928. He was elected to the Pro FB HOF in 1966.

Offered is a promotional flyer / handbill that measures 8.5” x  11” in size with mailing folds promoting Joe Guyon Day at Citizens Bank (pictures Guyon as an older man)  that must have been signed for a employee at the bank.  He signed in blue ink, “ To Jim Royer a fellow hard working employee from your Chippewa Indian friend – Joe Guyon”
