John Isaacs Signed AUTO Letter Basketball HOF NY Rens Globetrotters PSA/DNA

John Isaacs (Deceased) played as a guard for the New York Rens, one of the first black teams in pro basketball. He led them to victory in 1939 at the first ever World Professional Basketball Tournament, where the Rens beat the Oshkosh All-Stars 34-25. Isaacs also played for the Washington Bears, who won the WPBT again in 1943, with Isaacs the lead scorer in that game. Although the Rens were inducted into the Hall of Fame as a team in 1963, Isaacs was named an HOFer in his own right in 2015.

Isaacs is a super tough autograph to find.  He would sign if you wrote him through the mail, but unfortunately many collectors didn’t have the fortitude to request his autograph.

Offered is a signed handwritten letter on a 3” x 5” index card dated 8-14-97.  He closes out the letter after signing his name, “NY Ren 1939 World Champs”

Encapsulated by PSA/DNA as authentic.
