John J. McMahon (D. 1954) played in the big leagues from 1889-1897 for the Philadelphia A’s, Baltimore Orioles and Brooklyn Bridegrooms. He won 20 or more games five times and won 30 or more two times with 36 wins in 1890 and 35 wins in 1891. He had a 173-127 record with a 3.51 ERA and 967 strikeouts. He is also known by nickname, Sadie McMahon

Offered is a government postcard dated December 9, 1949 from Wilmington, DE. A rarely offered autograph from a ballplayer who might have been enshrined in Cooperstown if his career hadn’t ended prematurely.
