Johnny Blood McNally (D. 1985) was a professional football player and coach and arguably one of the greatest and most colorful players pro football history. He played for the Milwaukee Badgers, Duluth Eskimos, Pottsville Maroons, Packers, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Buffalo Tigers. Notably, he helped lead the Packers to four championships in 1929, 1930, 1931, and 1936. He also coached for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Kenosha Cardinals, and St Johns. He’s a member of the NFL and Packers HOF.

Offered is a 3-page letter from the 1960’s signed in blue ballpoint ink by John Blood McNally attempting to set up a Pro Football Alumni Chapter in the state of Minnesota.  Great content with mentions of several Professional football players.   Most notably, he goes into detail regarding Pudge Heffelfinger who was a charter member of the College Football Hall of Fame and is considered the first professional football player in the history of the game. There are several handwritten notations in McNally’s hand through the letter.
