Juan Marichal rears back and peers over his shoulder as prepares to launch a pitch. Is it going down the middle or at someone’s head? He was known for his high leg kick, pinpoint control and intimidation tactics, which included aiming pitches directly at the opposing batters' helmets. Marichal played for the San Francisco Giants for most of his career and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983.
This original (8 x 10 inches) photo is in excellent condition with just some slight creasing on the edges. His name is written on the back in pen along with stamps from The Sporting News and Russ Reed from the Oakland Tribune (dated Apr10, 1968). Nice pic of this HOFer in action!!
