This group lot of 5 autographed Topps baseball cards includes: 1971 Topps #143 Steve Blass, 1972 Topps #1 Dock Ellis, #190 Dave Giusti, #414 Bob Miller, and #605 Nelson Briles. All are encapsulated by PSA/DNA.

Steve Blass was a pitcher for the Pirates from 1966 – 1974 and is currently a broadcast announcer for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In the 1971 World Series against the Baltimore Orioles, Blass pitched two complete game wins, allowing only seven hits and two runs in 18 innings, and was the winning pitcher in the 7th and deciding game. He finished second in the voting for World Series MVP behind teammate Roberto Clemente.

Dock Ellis (d. 2008) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Yankees, Oakland Athletics, Texas Rangers, and New York Mets. Ellis threw a no-hitter on June 12, 1970 and later claimed that he accomplished the feat under the influence of LSD. Ellis was the starting pitcher for the National League in the All-Star Game in 1971 and that same year, the Pirates were World Series champions. Joining the Yankees in 1976, he helped lead the team to the 1976 World Series, and was named the American League Comeback Player of the Year.

Dave Giusti played from 1962 to 1977 for the Colt .45s/Astros, Pirates, Athletics, and Cubs. Giusti appeared in three games for Pittsburgh in the 1971 World Series, earning a save in Game Four. Giusti was awarded The Sporting News Reliever of the Year Award in 1971. Giusti's most valuable baseball pitch was his palmball.

Bob Miller (d 1993) was a pitcher from 1957 – 1974 and played for three World Series champions - the 1963 Los Angeles Dodgers, 1965 Los Angeles Dodgers and the 1971 Pittsburgh Pirates.

Nelson Briles (d 2005) was a MLB pitcher from 1965 – 1978 for the Cardinals, Pirates, Royals, Rangers, and Orioles. He won the World series in 1967 with the Cardinals and in 1971 with the Pirates. He won the "Pride of the Pirates" lifetime achievement award in 2003.

All cards are PSA slabbed and each player signed on the front of their own respective card except for Dock Ellis who signed on a 1972 Pirates team card with the World Series champs team. The Blass card is double signed in blue and black ink. Awesome grouping for the Pirates collector!
