A strong advocate of amateur basketball, Lynn St. John lobbied for formal national and international basketball rules for nearly three decades. A formidable administrator and a "master of diplomacy." St. John was appointed to the NCAA Basketball Rules Committee in 1912, a position he held for 25 years, the last eighteen as chairman. He served as a member of the 1936 Basketball Olympic Committee, and played an active role during the inaugural Olympic competition. The basketball arena at Ohio State University, where St. John coached (1912-1919) and later served as director of athletics (1915-47), is named in his honor. He died in 1950 and was elected to the Basketball HOF in 1962.

Fielding Yost was head football coach at the University of Michigan from 1901 to1926, where he won 6 National Championships. He served as AD from 1921 to 1940. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1951. He died in 1946.

Offered is an 8.5” x 11” contract from 1940 between Ohio State and the U of Michigan for the Wolverines TRACK team to come to Ohio State for a track meet at a date to be determined. Signed in black steel tipped pen by both of these legends!
