| The 1957 Washington Redskins began with the team trying to improve on their 6–6 record from 1956. They ended the season 5-6-1 under coach Joe Kuharich. The team featured QB – Eddie LeBaron, John Carson, Dick Stanfel, Gene Brito, Don Shula (yes, the HOF Baltimore Colts and Miami Dolphins coach), Dick James, and Norb Hecker.
