Rich Niemann was originally drafted in the fourth round of the 1968 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons. That season, he was traded from the Pistons to the Milwaukee Bucks along with cash for Dave Gambee. Later that year, he was claimed by the Boston Celtics after he was waived by the Bucks. After his time with the Celtics, he played the rest of his career in the American Basketball Association. His ABA career was spent with three teams over two seasons, the Carolina Cougars, Miami Floridians and Dallas Chaparrals.

On the rear inside tail of Rich Niemann’s 1971-72 game used Dallas Chaparrals ABA home jersey is the "Rawlings" manufacturer’s size “44” tag. The stitching on the tag has loosened at one side. Adjacent is an additional wash instructions tag. Across the front is "DALLAS" in red on blue tackle twill. Below and on back is the player number "52" in similar fashion. Across the back is the player name “NIEMANN”. The jersey shows SOLID game-use and remains completely original and unaltered. Includes a signed LOA from Rich Niemann.

If you view the last picture from the Topps archives, we believe this may be a photo match for this exact jersey.
