In Wilt Chamberlain’s three years on the basketball team at Overbrook High School in West Philadelphia (same school that Will Smith and Seth Green would later attend); he took them to 3 City Championships. In his first year on the Varsity basketball squad in 1953 at the age of 16; they would go all the way to the City Championship (see our other ticket).
This ticket dated March 2, 1953 is the earliest known ticket from the G.O.A.T.’s basketball career. Programs have popped up over the years, but never a full ticket or ticket stub. Graded AUTHENTIC BY PSA
On March 2, 1953; Overbrook High School would play Northeast for the City Public High School Championship; played at the Palaestra (University of Pennsylvania’s arena). It was a close game in which Overbrook would prevail, 71-62 on the back of Wilt’s 34 pints, 1 field goals on 29 shots, 10 of 15 free throws. He drew fouls like fly paper draws flies.
This was a seriously close game as future Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer, and future Warriors teammate; Guy Rodgers put up 26 points for the Northeast squad.

Side note - 9 Years to the day on March 2, 1962, Wilt would become the first and only player in NBA history to score 100 points in a game while playing for the Philadelphia Warriors vs the NY Knicks at Hershey Park, PA.
