This original photo (5.5 x 7 inches) has some editorial notations on the front including the text written in white pencil ink/paint “AP Photos” and a date stamp on the reverse of Aug 24, 1929. It’s been cut at the top so that Jones’ head is sticking out above the edge of the photo almost giving the photo a nice 3D effect. There are also some faint traces of a blue stamp visible but illegible on the reverse. Nice clarity in this picture. Taken at the Western Open.
