The 1965 season for the Baltimore Colts would be considered fantastic by any means. They recorded a 10-3-1 record and tied for first in the Western Conference with the Green Bay Packers. There was a tie breaker game played between the Pack and the Colts to determine who would go on to the NFL title game against the Browns. Sadly for Baltimore fans, the Colts would lose this tie breaker. Even though they didn’t make it to the championship game, they still put together a team most other teams would envy.

Offered is a white Spalding Johnny Unitas model football with 37 signatures of members of the 1965 Baltimore Colts. Highlights include: Johnny Unitas, Raymond Berry, Jim Parker, Ordell Braase, John Mackey, Don Shinnick, Lenny Lyles, Jerry Logan, Alvin Haymond, Lou Michaels, Gary Cuozzo, Tom Matte, Bob Boyd, Bob Vogel, Jim Welch, Jimmy Orr, Lenny Moore, Willie Richardson, Mike Curtis, Steve Stonebreaker, Glenn Ressler, & Dick Syzmanski. The ball is from 1965 as Wendell Harris (Colts 1962-65) and Mike Curtis (first year 1965 – 75 with the Colts) signed the ball.

Signatures overall would rate 9-10’s. Great piece of history!

Letter of Authenticity from Richard Albersheim.
