Thurman Munson . The photo with Reggie Jackson is an original (10 x 8 inches) AP laser photo printed on Kodak paper and stamped by Wide World on the back. It’s from September 14, 1978 in Detroit after Munson developed a headache in a game against the Tigers. In addition to Jackson, trainer Gene Monahan is in the photo.
The other photo of is an original (8 x 10 inches) photo of Thurman Munson swinging for the fences taken by photographer, A Neste (his handwritten notation is on the back). It was printed for publication on 10-14-81, 2 years after Munson’s death. Great shots!!
