1958 Topps #52 Roberto Bob Clemente Signed AUTO baseball Card PSA/DNA

Pride and humanitarianism won Clemente universal admiration. Despite an unorthodox batting style, the Pirates great won four batting crowns and amassed 3,000 hits. He was equally brilliant in right field, where he displayed a precise and powerful arm. Clemente earned National League MVP honors in 1966, but achieved his greatest fame in the 1971 World Series, in which he batted .414. Tragically, Clemente's life ended at age 38 in a plane crash while flying relief supplies to Nicaraguan earthquake victims.

This bright and vibrant 1958 Topps card has been boldly signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint by Roberto Clemente.  Clemente signatures are among the most popular and desirable in autograph collecting; his signed cards are particularly scarce.   The signature on this card is clean and legible, with some very slight feathering to the signature, though nothing that impacts the attractiveness of the signature or inscription.  The card itself has been lovingly handled with some creasing and edge wear, along with some mild surface soiling, however, the condition of the card is secondary to the beauty and scarcity of the signature.  To date, there have only been 3 signed examples of this card that have been authenticated by PSA.
