1968-69 Baltimore Bullets NBA Eastern Division Championship Ring
The 1968–69 Baltimore Bullets season was their eighth season in the NBA and sixth season in the city of Baltimore. The Bullets continued to rebuild through the draft by selecting center Wes Unseld, a 2-time All-American from Louisville. Unseld would have an immediate impact for the Bullets. He finished 2nd in the NBA in rebounding with 18.2 rebounds per game as the Bullets went from worst to first posting a league best 57–25 record. Rookie Wes Unseld won both the Rookie of the Year and MVP. The team would win the Eastern Division and go on to play in the Division Semi-Finals vs the New York Knicks.
Offered is this size 10, 14k gold beauty that weighs 28.36 grams and was awarded to the team trainer, Skip Feldman, whose names is engraved inside the band. after he and the Baltimore Bullets were crowned Eastern Division Champions of the 1968-69 NBA season. The face of the ring reads “BULLETS CHAMPS EASTERN DIV.” enameled in yellow, blue and white. The left panel reads “68” and the right panel reads “69” both enameled in blue. The inside of the ring is stamped “14K” and engraved with his name “Skip Feldman”. The ring is in EX condition with moderate wear.
We’ve only seen one other example (a player’s ring) ever offered for public sale. This is the same ring that were issued to the playes.
