Bill Hewitt Pro Football HOF Autograph Cut Signature Custom Football Card Chicago Bears D. 1947 JSA LOA
First to be named All-NFL with two teams - 1933, 1934, 1936 Bears, 1937 Eagles. Hewitt was famous for a super-quick defensive charge. He was fast, elusive, innovative on offense by his Invention of many trick plays to fool the opposition. Bill was the middle man on forward-lateral that gave the Chicago Bears the 1933 NFL title. He was considered a wild man because he played without helmet until rules change forced use. Hewitt tragically died on January 14, 1947 in a car accident at the age of 37.
Offered is a cut signature that measures 3” x 1” in size and inserted into a custom football card.
