Vince Lombardi Signed AUTO 1954 Purchase Contract for House Upon Being Hired by New York Giants PSA/DNA LOA

Vincent Thomas Lombardi Transformed Green Bay into winner in two seasons. He is considered by many to be the greatest football coach of all time. Lombardi had gave the Green Bay Packers a 89-29-4 record, five NFL titles, first two Super Bowl crowns in nine years. . . Led 1969 Redskins to first winning record in 14 years. He passed away at the age of 57 in 1970. He was posthumously elected to the Pro Football HOF in 1971.

Offered is a real estate contract dated February 15, 1954 for the purchase of a Lot of land in Oradell (Bergen County), New Jersey.  Lombardi and his family were still living in West Point, NY (where he was an assistant coach).  Upon his hiring as the offensive coordinator for the New York Giants of the NFL for the upcoming season, Vince decided to buy a new home in his home state of New Jersey.  This was in the Woodland Homes development (later Oradell Ave).  This must have been a nice home, as the purchase price was $30,000 in 1954.
